Job summary

Unearth Talent in Canberra is partnering with a Federal Government client to source a Procurement Officer at the APS5/6 level for a long-term labour hire contract.

The role covers procurement activities, supplier management, SAP administration, contract renewals, policy compliance and financial reporting in a public sector environment. NV1 security clearance supported, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, PwD and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience working within Government Procurement.
• Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
• Contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS.
• Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
• Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement planning.
• Experience using SAP or similar related financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing procurement activities including advising and supporting labour hire procurement.
• Assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds and enter into Arrangements.
• Maintain supplier contracts and purchase orders within SAP ensuring compliance with finance policy.
• Enter, reconcile and maintain invoice and payment records in SAP; undertake financial administration and reporting.
