Job summary

Compas in Barton, ACT seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist for Cyber & Technology Programs. You will lead end-to-end procurement, engage with senior stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires strategic commercial acumen, management of financial commitments, and experience with AusTender, BuyICT, DS4P and SAP. 12-month contract with extension option, NV1 security clearance preferred.

Senior Procurement Specialist | Cyber & Technology Programs

Join a high-profile cyber and critical technology program delivering strategically significant procurement activities across the Indo-Pacific. This EL1-level opportunity will suit an experienced procurement professional who can lead complex end-to-end procurement, provide strategic commercial advice, manage financial and probity requirements, and work confidently with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

Barton, ACT

Contract Duration: 12 months, with an option to extend for up to 12 months

Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks:

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including market engagement, tender development, contract negotiation and execution.
• Manage contractual frameworks, financial commitments, procurement risks, probity requirements and supplier performance.
• Coordinate procurement activities through AusTender, DS4P and BuyICT while ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act.
• Provide strategic procurement, financial and risk advice to senior stakeholders across complex cyber and technology initiatives.

Key Criteria:

• Strong experience delivering complex Commonwealth procurement and contract management activities.
• Expert knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules, procurement governance, probity and the PGPA framework.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial alignment across ODA, Non-ODA and Departmental funding sources.
• Experience working with procurement and financial systems and tools such as AusTender, BuyICT, DS4P and SAP.
