Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd, Canberra-based, seeks an APS6 Procurement Adviser to deliver end-to-end Commonwealth procurement and contract management in a government environment. Location: ACT, NSW. Contract duration: 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027.

Closing date: 31 August 2026. Baseline security clearance required. Responsibilities include leading procurement activities, developing strategies, reviewing documentation, and ensuring value-for-money outcomes under CPRs and governance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end procurement and contract management support and compliance advice.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Certificate IV in Government procurement, contract management, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including planning, market engagement, evaluation, contract establishment and contract management.
• Provide procurement and contract management advice aligned with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant governance requirements.
• Partner with business areas to develop procurement strategies and sourcing approaches that achieve value-for-money outcomes.
• Prepare and review procurement documentation and support contract variations, extensions, performance management and dispute resolution.

Job Title: APS6 Procurement Advisor | Commonwealth Procurement

Deliver end-to-end Commonwealth procurement and contract management activities, providing expert advice and supporting compliant, efficient and value-for-money outcomes within an Australian Government environment.

Location: ACT, NSW

Essential Tasks
