Multicultural Consulting Services Pty is seeking a procurement leader to oversee sourcing strategies for a major Western Sydney civil infrastructure project. You will work with commercial, engineering and construction leaders to secure materials, services and subcontracts that support cost, quality and programme objectives.

Role focuses on leading procurement activities, developing strategies, evaluating tenders, and mentoring a procurement team while ensuring governance and sustainability

Qualifications

• Procurement management experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering or major projects.

• Develop procurement strategies and schedules linked to construction milestones.
• Lead sourcing, tender evaluation, negotiation and award for equipment, materials and subcontracts.
• Engage the market and build effective supplier relationships.
• Monitor procurement commitments, budgets and opportunities to improve value.
• Assess supply-chain risks and coordinate interfaces with delivery disciplines.
• Mentor the procurement team and maintain compliance with governance, contracts, legislation, local-content and sustainability requirements.

The Opportunity

Lead procurement for a substantial Western Sydney road and civil infrastructure project. Working with commercial, engineering and construction leaders, you will secure materials, services and subcontract packages that support delivery cost, quality and programme needs.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies and schedules linked to construction milestones.
• Lead sourcing, tender evaluation, negotiation and award for equipment, materials, services and subcontracts.
• Engage the market and build effective supplier relationships.
• Monitor procurement commitments, budgets and opportunities to improve value.
• Assess supply-chain risks and coordinate interfaces with delivery disciplines.

RequirementsSkills, Education And Requirements

• Procurement management experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering or major projects.
• Knowledge of contracts, procurement processes and commercial principles.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing, tendering and supplier negotiations.
• Strong commercial judgement, analysis and practical risk management.
• Effective stakeholder relationships and ability to develop procurement teams in demanding project environments.
• Major road or transport infrastructure experience is highly regarded.
