Job summary

PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD in Canberra is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing, supply chain management and cost minimisation. You will develop and monitor purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, ensuring stock levels meet demand at minimum cost.

Key duties include contract negotiation with suppliers, tracking movements of supplies and finished goods, coordinating with other departments, directing staff, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in procurement.
• Experience in purchasing, storage and distribution planning.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans
• Preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements
• Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels
• Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times
• Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation
• Overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions
• Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance

Job description Phillip Riley is looking for an experience Procurement Manager to join our team. As the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services, supply chain management, and minimizing procurement costs.
