Job summary

PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Melbourne. You will oversee purchasing, supply chain management and cost minimization while leading a small team and coordinating with other departments.

Key duties include developing purchasing and distribution strategies, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring stock levels meet demand at minimum cost. Strong leadership, analytical and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in procurement/ purchasing and supply chain oversight.
Ability to negotiate supplier contracts for quality, cost and delivery.
Strong analytical, financial and risk management skills.
Leadership experience and attention to detail are essential.
Strategic sourcing and contract management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define and monitor purchasing, storage and distribution strategies.
Plan stock levels to minimize costs.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
Monitor storage and inventory systems to meet supply needs.
Record purchases and movements; manage reordering and re-stocking.
Direct staff activities and monitor performance.
Coordinate with departments and customers on outward goods and forwarding.
Oversee recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions.
