Why Sundale?

At Sundale, our values guide how we work:

  • Care: Creating quality, meaningful experiences for everyone in the Sundale community.
  • Connection: Listening and responding to the needs of others.
  • Creativity: Finding different and better ways to do things and be part of the community.

We offer a supportive, people‑first workplace where your expertise will be valued and your contribution will have an organisation‑wide impact.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Procurement Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across procurement, contract management and supplier governance.

You will lead a small specialist team comprising the Procurement Lead and Supplier Assurance Officer, while partnering with executives, senior leaders and operational teams across the organisation.

From setting procurement strategy and leading complex negotiations to improving supplier performance and strengthening contract governance, you will play a key role in ensuring Sundale achieves sustainable value from its commercial arrangements.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and lead Sundale’s procurement strategy, annual procurement plan and governance frameworks.
  • Lead category management, strategic sourcing, market engagement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award processes.
  • Identify supplier consolidation, aggregation and strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Oversee significant contracts and strategic commercial negotiations.
  • Establish effective contract lifecycle, supplier governance and performance management frameworks.

  • Provide expert procurement and commercial advice to executives and business leaders.
  • Identify and manage procurement, contractual, supplier and commercial risks.
  • Use expenditure analysis, market intelligence and commercial insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Lead procurement transformation, process improvement, automation and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Develop meaningful reporting frameworks, performance measures and governance dashboards.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Procurement and Contracting team while promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring

  • Proven capability in procurement strategy, governance, risk and compliance management.
  • Strong knowledge of category management, contracts, supplier performance and commercial risk.
  • Experience leading teams, transformation initiatives and system implementations.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong commercial judgement and a confident, considered approach to decision-making.
  • A data‑driven, organised and outcomes‑focused working style.
  • A commitment to integrity, accountability, professionalism and collaboration.
  • Experience within aged care, healthcare, community services or the not‑for‑profit sector will be highly regarded.
Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Contract Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
