Job summary

Lion Pty Ltd is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for Site Services and MRO. The role oversees category strategies across Site Services, Facilities Management and MRO, partnering with engineering, manufacturing and site leadership to drive value and risk management.

You will lead sourcing, tendering and contracting, build stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement in a complex operational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience across Site Services and Facilities Management categories.
• Strong track record in strategic sourcing, contract development and negotiations.
• Ability to lead sourcing, tendering and contracting across a portfolio.
• Experience working in manufacturing or asset-intensive environments.
• Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing category and supplier relationship management strategies across Site Services, Facilities Management and MRO, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable value.
• Leading sourcing, tendering, and contracting across the portfolio.
• Partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing and site leadership teams to understand business needs, challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve service, performance and commercial outcomes.
• Managing procurement projects and resolving complex commercial or operational challenges as they arise.
• Using market insights, procurement data and supplier performance information to identify opportunities, manage risk and continuously improve the category.

We’relooking for a Procurement Category Manager – Site Services & MRO to take ownershipof twoimportant categories atdifferent stagesof development. You will lead and continue to evolve our established Site Services category, while helping build greater visibility,structureand a more strategic approach to MRO.

This isa great opportunityfor a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys working in complex operational environments, influencingstakeholdersand bringing greater structure,consistencyand value to the way we manage suppliers and categories.

The role can be primarily based at either Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe or our York Street office in Sydney CBD, with regular time spent at both. You’ll work closely with our breweries, engineering teams and wider business to deliver meaningful commercial and operational outcomes.

What kind of experience and knowledge are we looking for?

• Proven Procurement category managementexperience across Site Services, FacilitiesManagementor similar indirect categoriesincluding developing and implementingcategoryand supplier relationship management strategies.
• Experience working in or alongside manufacturing,engineeringor other asset-intensive environments.
• A strongtrack recordin strategic sourcing, contract development,and commercial negotiations.
• The ability to build credibility with technical and operational stakeholders and influence across different teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset, with the drive to bring structure, simplify processes and get things moving.
• Strong commercial judgement,curiosityand the confidence to challenge the status quo.
• MRO experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong category management skills and the ability to bring structure to a developing category are more important.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, construction,miningor infrastructure could be highlybeneficialto this role. FMCG experience is not essential — what matters most is your attitude, commercial capability, stakeholder skillsand willingness to learn.
