Job summary

Stone & Wood Brewery in Murwillumbah, part of Lion, is seeking a Brewing Area Leader (Internal Job Title: Brewing Leader) to directly impact the brewing process and lead two teams of shift brewers toward high performance. You will report to the Brewery Manager and own people, safety and quality within the area, fostering continuous improvement through 5S and TPM and delivering production targets.

We're on the lookout for a passionate and driven Brewing Area Leader (Internal Job Title is Brewing Leader) to join our team at Stone & Wood Brewery in Murwillumbah.

This is an incredible opportunity to make a direct impact on the brewing process and lead a talented team to new heights.

Your Role

Reporting to Brewery Manager, you'll have full accountability and responsibility for the people, safety, and quality within the brewing area. Through managing a team of brewing leaders, who lead two teams of shift brewers, you will drive a high-performance culture, ensuring our brewing operations run smoothly and efficiently. From people management, through safety leadership, to continuous improvement - this is a role that will let you make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• People and Capability: Develop your teams by providing mentorship, coaching, and technical expertise. Lead skills development and foster a continuous learning culture to ensure high-performance teams


• Safety: Lead a safety culture that develops ownership in safety capabilities and risk assessment and management, ensuring safety is always top of mind across your teams


• Quality & Environment: Champion quality and environmental impacts across all brewing operations by ensuring strict adherence to quality systems, processes, and compliance.


• Delivery & Performance: Manage production targets, deliver key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvements through 5S and TPM methodologies


• Financial & Commercial: Own the financial performance of the brewing area, including budgeting, cost management, and capital planning. Driving value creation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You Bring

You have a number of years in brewing or manufacturing leadership and a passion for building high-performance teams. You're driven by effective people management, operational excellence, and you know how to foster a culture of continuous improvement. With your leadership skills, you'll inspire your team to push boundaries and achieve great results.
