Job summary

Glencore's McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory is seeking a Planning Support Officer for the Metallurgy Maintenance team. Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Planning Support Officer provides work scoping and planning support for maintenance activities across the processing plant.

You will assist with planning, ordering and confirming required parts, and support work-order creation and approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining processing plants, crushing facilities, or similar environments.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter.
• Willingness to obtain Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with work scoping and planning of maintenance across the processing plant.
• Support Supervisors with detailed scoping of work requests.
• Assist with ordering and confirming required parts.
• Support planners with creation and approval of work orders.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Participate in training and development aligned with Glencore’s values.
• Comply with environmental guidelines to support sustainable operations.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and promote a safety-first culture.
