Job summary

Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead development and continuous improvement of quality processes, and to support NPI, trial production, process validation and ramp-up activities.

You will apply SPC, PFMEA, MSA/GR&R and control plans while leading cross-functional quality initiatives across Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D and Laboratory. A degree in engineering or related field is required, with strong problem-solving and data-analytic skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated process/manufacturing quality experience with structured problem-solving incl. root-cause analysis and 8D/CAPA.
• Strong PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA/GR&R and process capability knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate quality data into practical improvements.
• Collaborative approach with ability to influence and escalate when required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across technical and operational teams.
• Hands-on mindset with drive for continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.
• Willingness to develop additional laboratory testing skills and competency training.
• Experience in solar/renewable energy or related sectors will be highly regarded.

• A hands-on mindset and a genuine drive for continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.
• Willingness to develop additional laboratory testing skills and complete required competency training.
• Experience in solar, renewable energy, electrical products, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, defence or another relevant sector will be highly regarded.
