Job summary

Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility in Australia. You will manage facilities, utilities, infrastructure and maintenance programs while driving projects and improvements to support growth.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering and external partners, you will optimise facility performance, drive energy efficiency and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services or related discipline.
• 8+ years’ facilities management experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years in a Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Manager or similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering industrial or manufacturing facility projects, upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities, utilities and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective operations while meeting WHS and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor key performance measures and drive continuous improvement across maintenance, reliability, efficiency and operations.
• Develop and optimise preventative and corrective maintenance programs to improve asset reliability and minimise downtime.
• Lead, develop and support the Facilities team through clear direction and coaching.
• Monitor site utilities, including electricity, HVAC, compressed air and other essential services.

Unison Solar Energy is building its capabilities in Australian solar manufacturing and is looking for an experienced Facility Manager to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our growing manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity to manage key facilities, utilities, infrastructure and maintenance programs while contributing to major projects, operational improvements and the continued development of our manufacturing capabilities.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing and external partners, you will play a key role in optimising facility performance, driving reliability and energy efficiency, managing compliance and delivering infrastructure projects. Facility Performance:Manage facilities, utilitiesand infrastructure tomaintain reliable operationsandsupport manufacturing performance.

Maintenance & Reliability:Develop and optimise preventative and corrective maintenance programs to improve asset reliability, minimise downtime and support manufacturing continuity.

Projects & Growth: Manage facility projects, upgrades and improvements from planning and budgeting through to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice, reporting and recommendationsto management onfacility performance, risks, compliance and improvement opportunities.
• Review engineering drawings, technical documentationand facility layouts, including AutoCAD whererequired.
• Work with internalteams, contractors, serviceproviders, utilities andregulators to resolveissues, minimise disruptionand ensure safe, effective delivery.

What you will bring

• Tertiary qualification inFacilities Management,Building Services ora related discipline, with 8+ years’ facilities managementexperience in alarge-scalemanufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated experiencedelivering industrial ormanufacturing facilityprojects, upgrades andinfrastructure improvements.
• Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the abilityto respond effectivelyto high-pressuresituations, operationalissues and emergencies.
• Sound knowledge ofhigh voltage/low voltage electrical distribution, fault diagnosis andprotection systems, HVAC, cleanrooms, dehumidification, compressed air, coolingtowers, purified waterand wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of energyefficiency practices andISO 50001 principles, with proficiency inAutoCAD for reviewingengineering drawings andfacility documentation.
• Experience insolar module, EVbattery, semiconductor,LCD/display panel, automotive or otheradvanced manufacturingenvironments is highlydesirable.
• Strong understandingof WHS, statutorycompliance, risk management, emergency preparednessand safe workpractices.
