Job summary

Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Material Control Specialist to ensure timely and accurate material supply for production. You will optimise inventory, monitor usage, and address supply risks while collaborating with internal stakeholders to support Australian solar manufacturing growth.

Key duties include managing MRP, maintaining master data, and developing reporting to track inventory performance and shortages.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in material control, supply chain, logistics or a related role with SAP experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret MRP outputs and inventory data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to identifying supply risks, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, process compliance and reliable planning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor Material Requirements Planning to ensure materials are available to support production and business demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, material usage and consumption trends to optimise stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Maintain accurate material master data, planning parameters and transactions to support reliable material planning.
• Develop and maintain material control reports and performance metrics covering inventory, shortages, overdue orders, supply risks and material utilisation.
• Investigate shortages, delays, planning discrepancies and supply anomalies coordinating with stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Identify and implement improvements to material planning, inventory management and control processes to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor material supply and supplier commitments, addressing shortages and risks to maintain reliable supply.

Unison Solar Energy is building its capabilities in Australian solar manufacturing and is seeking an experienced Material Control Specialist to support our growing operations.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate supply of materials to meet production and business requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll help optimise material availability, improve inventory performance and proactively address supply risks.

This is an opportunity to strengthen material control processes, optimise inventory and drive continuous improvement while supporting the growth of Australian solar manufacturing.

Material Planning: Manage material requirements planning to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production.

Inventory Optimisation: Monitor inventory, material usage and supply performance to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise excess and obsolete materials.

Supply & Improvement: Identify supply risks, resolve material issues and drive improvements across SAP, planning processes and material control
