Job summary

Bega Group is seeking a Process Operator at our Crestmead manufacturing site to process, mix and batch milk in line with production plans. This permanent night-shift role runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 pm–6:00 am, balancing raw materials with production needs while ensuring safe, high-quality operations.

Based at Crestmead, south of Brisbane, you’ll work across processing and production areas, contribute to QA activities and support continuous improvement and food-safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or food-manufacturing industries.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for processing and equipment issues.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and food-safety requirements.
• Experience in production planning or scheduling with strong organizational skills.
• Collaborative communicator with adaptability and results focus.

Responsibilities

• Process raw materials to required specifications while balancing material availability with production requirements.
• Perform VAT planning activities using site control systems.
• Operate machinery across laboratory, processing and production environments.
• Complete quality activities, including sampling, swabbing, plating and QA tasks.
• Support food safety, GMP compliance, continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.

You will balance incoming raw materials with production requirements, operate equipment across processing and production, and help maintain safe, efficient and high-quality operations.Our Crestmead dairy site near Logan, south of Brisbane, manufactures and distributes a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from 35 dairy farms in the south-east Queensland region.
