Job summary

The Aquarium is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong HiPortfolio (HiPort) expertise to join a leading global financial services organisation in Sydney. You will analyse, transform, load and reconcile investment data across external sources and the HiPortfolio platform.

You will work with investment operations, fund accounting, technology and project delivery teams to ensure data is migrated, validated and reconciled.

Qualifications

• Experience with HiPortfolio within investment accounting or fund administration.
• Strong knowledge of equities and fixed-income securities.
• Ability to map, transform and load third‑party investment data.
• Experience extracting data from HiPortfolio for analysis.

• Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with HiPortfolio / HiPort within an investment accounting or fund administration environment.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments, particularly equities and fixed-income securities.
• Experience with security setup, investment data structures and accounting treatment within HiPortfolio.
• Proven ability to interpret, map and transform third-party investment data for loading into HiPortfolio.
• Experience extracting and analysing data from HiPortfolio.
• Strong data reconciliation skills, including investigating and explaining differences between source systems and investment accounting platforms.
• Experience in investment data migration, fund accounting, custody or investment operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Highly Regarded

• SQL experience and knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience working with custodians, asset managers or investment servicing organisations.
• Understanding of accounting methodologies, valuation differences and investment data quality controls.
• Experience supporting complex investment portfolio migrations or client onboarding programmes.
