Job summary

National Australia Bank (NAB) is seeking a Privacy Regulatory Change & Compliance Consultant to shape NAB's response to evolving privacy obligations and lead enterprise-wide regulatory change initiatives. You will translate complex privacy legislation into practical business outcomes and partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance, monitoring and assurance.

As part of a team owning privacy readiness, you will guide horizon scanning, impact assessments and implementation planning,

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Australian privacy legislation, APs, OAIC guidance and reforms.
• Experience leading complex regulatory change initiatives in large regulated organisations.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable outcomes.
• Experience in impact assessments, governance, readiness and compliance assurance.
• Knowledge of enterprise risk management, monitoring, controls and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead horizon scanning, impact assessments, mobilisation and implementation planning for privacy regulatory change initiatives.
• Analyse and interpret privacy legislation, regulatory guidance and reforms to assess impacts across NAB.
• Translate regulatory obligations into practical changes across processes, controls, technology, data, policies, training and governance.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple business and enabling functions, managing ownership, dependencies and risks.
• Support business readiness and oversee transition of regulatory changes into business-as-usual operations.
• Maintain and enhance privacy obligations, compliance architecture and governance processes.
• Design governance reporting, executive briefings and recommendations for regulatory readiness.
• Identify emerging privacy risks and opportunities to strengthen controls and compliance capability.
