The Department of Justice is seeking a Prison Supervisor to provide a critical role at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC). Lead and manage staff to ensure the safety and security of people in prison, staff and visitors.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at DPFC in Melbourne. You will oversee day-to-day operations of accommodation and security areas, applying strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading in a correctional environment or similar setting.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to safety, risk management and staff development.
• Knowledge of relevant correctional legislation, policy and procedures.

• Manage day-to-day operational needs of accommodation and/or security areas.
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team delivering correctional services.
• Oversee HR functions including performance management, coaching and development.
• Develop, implement and review procedures for custody and security of people in prison.
• Provide written reports and participate in forums and committees.
