Tyro Payments seeks a Principal Product Manager to lead a transformative onboarding program, delivering a seamless, personalised customer journey. You will drive strategy, manage cross‑functional teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ship major capabilities while leveraging analytics to improve conversions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the Strategy: Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Tyro's customer onboarding transformation, creating a seamless, scalable and personalised experience.
• Transform the Experience: Reimagine the end-to-end onboarding journey, making it easier for customers to access new products and services. Lead the transformation from discovery through to launch and beyond.
• Collaborate Across Tyro: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, while managing third‑party vendors and complex technology integrations.
• Lead and Deliver: Guide cross‑functional Agile squads, balancing long‑term strategic transformation with ongoing product enhancements and taking a hands‑on approach to driving outcomes.
• Drive Data‑Led Decisions: Leverage product analytics, funnel performance and customer insights to inform priorities, improve conversion rates and continuously optimise the customer experience.

About The Role

Tyro is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead one of our most strategically important and high profile initiatives: transforming our customer onboarding experience. This is an exciting opportunity to drive a major transformation program, introduce innovative product capabilities and create seamless, personalised customer journeys. With significant executive visibility, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how customers engage with Tyro.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Strategy: Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Tyro's customer onboarding transformation, creating a seamless, scalable and personalised experience.
• Transform the Experience: Reimagine the end-to-end onboarding journey, making it easier for customers to access new products and services. Lead the transformation from discovery through to launch and beyond.

What You’ll Bring

• Product Leadership: Extensive product management experience, with a proven track record of owning product strategy, roadmaps and delivering complex, high‑impact transformation initiatives.
• Onboarding Expertise: Experience delivering digital onboarding, customer acquisition or identity verification solutions, ideally within payments, banking, fintech or regulated financial services.
• Technical Capability: Strong technical understanding and confidence partnering with engineers, architects and designers to shape solutions, navigate technical complexity and drive delivery.
• Commercial & Analytical Thinking: A data‑driven approach to product development, with experience using funnel analytics, conversion metrics and customer insights to improve performance and business outcomes.
• Influence & Collaboration: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, navigate complex regulatory environments and manage external technology partners.
• Hands On Delivery Mindset: Experience leading cross‑functional Agile squads, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, solve complex problems and deliver meaningful customer outcomes.
