Job summary

Cloudflare Canberra is seeking a Customer Engineer to own the technical go-to-market strategy, managing the full lifecycle from discovery to adoption and expansion.

You will partner with Account Executives, lead PoCs across Security, Networking and Developer Platforms, act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, and use AI-augmented workflows to automate repetitive tasks while driving measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Broad technical depth across web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial mindset with experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned roles; understanding SaaS metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to bridge technical details and C-suite strategy.
• Cloudflare Developer Stack experience (Workers AI, AI Gateway) is a plus.
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for integration scripts and edge functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with Account Executives and deliver PoCs across Cloudflare's portfolio.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, maintaining deep relationships with key stakeholders.
• Own the long-term technical relationship and ensure alignment between customer goals and product roadmap.
• Carry a quota tied to new business and ongoing account growth; lead QBRs to translate capabilities into ROI.
• Leverage AI agents and automation to reclaim time for strategic customer advisory.
