Job summary

Barr Planning, a Division of BeveridgeWilliams, is seeking a Principal Planner to lead major state and regional projects in NSW. You will manage projects on time and on budget, liaise with clients and coordinate staff.

The role requires a PIA-accredited planning degree, 10+ years of experience, and registration with PIA. Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation and expertise in impact assessment, with proven leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Has a planning degree accredited by PIA.
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Hold or be working towards Registered Planner status with PIA.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation and processes, with skills in environmental or social impact assessment.
  • Possess project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage a project within time frames, budgets and quality goals.
  • Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills with demonstrated team leadership capability.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering a range of State and regionally significant projects on time and on budget.
  • Acting as Project Lead to liaise with clients and maintain communication between staff and clients.
  • Developing fee proposals for new projects and managing internal workflows, invoices and reporting.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of our QA system and support business development, with a focus on targeted sectors.
