Job summary

Forest Hill College in Melbourne's NEVR Inner East Region invites applications for a Principal or Assistant Principal. The role leads planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students, using resources provided by the Department and the school community.

As executive officer of the school council, you will ensure advice is provided, decisions are implemented, and resources are managed.

Qualifications

• Appropriately qualified individuals currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Probationary period may apply during the first year of employment.
• Induction and support programs provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive education program to all students.
• Be executive officer of the school council and implement council decisions.
• Establish and manage financial systems in accordance with Department and council requirements.
• Represent the Department in the school and local community.
• Contribute to system-wide policy development and planning.
• Manage and integrate resources available to the school.
• Involve staff, students and the community in development and review of school policies and operations.
• Report on achievements of the school and students as appropriate.
