Job summary

Vermont Secondary College, a large suburban secondary school in Melbourne, seeks a Principal to lead teaching, learning, governance and community engagement under the Department of Education Victoria. Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to create a shared vision and communicate expectations.
• Ability to manage teaching quality and foster a culture of challenge, support and collaboration.
• Ability to implement evidence-based improvement plans and lead change.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education for all students.
• Act as executive officer of the school council and provide advice.
• Establish and manage financial and human resources for the school.
• Represent the Department in the school and local community.
• Ensure policies and programs are implemented and reviewed.
