Job summary

Lookahead is building planning and analytics software used by global apparel and retail brands. We seek a frontend architect to own the React/Redux stack and guide architecture as we scale.

You will work directly with product and design, own near-term rewrites, and ensure quality while shipping code. Hybrid work in Sydney after onboarding, permanent principal ownership in a tight-knit team.

Qualifications

• Ownership of client-side state and rendering architecture at data density.
• 5+ years React and TypeScript, commercial Redux, and strong architecture opinions.
• Still writing production code and maintaining hands-on skills.
• Set and enforce standards across a peer group with reviews and delivery practices.
• Collaborate directly with product and design rather than taking tickets.

Responsibilities

• Own the React/Redux codebase and guide frontend architecture for real-time, dense datasets.
• Lead code reviews, testing standards, and delivery practices across the frontend team.
• Collaborate directly with product and design to shape the product roadmap.
• Near-term work includes folding a standalone product back into the main app and scaling forecasting.
