Style Arcade in Sydney is seeking a Senior Front End Principal Engineer to lead the app’s front-end architecture, aligning design with data models and state management for real-time, collaborative usage.

You will shape frontend engineering standards, tooling, and processes, mentor engineers, and help deliver AI-powered features that remain fast and reliable. This role blends performance with innovative UX in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of React/Typescript experience with state management.
• 3+ years in Redux or similar state libraries.
• Experience leading frontend teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the front end architecture of the app and its interaction with data model and state management for real-time collaboration.
• Uphold front end engineering standards across code quality, testing, reviews and delivery.
• Develop tooling and processes to streamline collaboration between product and engineering and reduce iterations.
• Lead decisions, unblock tough problems, and raise performance and reliability standards.
• Influence product roadmap by aligning technical dependencies with delivery value.

We’re looking for a talented and user-focused Front End Architect to help make highly complex financial planning software feel seamless and effortless to use, and engineered with careful layering to balance high-speed innovation with performance and reliability.

Think: real-time collaborative editing of large scale data systems with complex relationships and sophisticated scenario planning, where user experience will have to stay coherent while working with our rich backend data model.

You’ll also help us build AI powered features that are fast-paced, visual and interactive. And while we use AI extensively in-house, it’s never at the expense of quality - our investment is focused on people.

What you’ll own:

• The front end architecture of the app and knowing how the design interacts with our data model an state management to allow for a real time, collaborative product to continue to scale
• The standard of our front end engineering across the team from code quality, testing, review process and delivery
• Tooling and processes to streamline collaboration between product and engineering and reduce iterations
• Guiding key decisions, unblocking hard problems and raising the bar for the team day to day
• Influence on the product roadmap, working closely with product to align technical dependencies and delivery value early to users

What you’ll bring:

• Expertise in 5+ years in React/Typescript and 3+ years in Redux
• A structured thinker and great at designing our user interactions work with a complex backend systems while balancing trade offs
• Prior experience in tech leadership role
