Job summary

Metso Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team in West Perth, WA, focusing on electrical design for GBPS equipment across various mineral processing applications. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration on fast-paced projects.

The successful candidate will have 7+ years of experience in mining/equipment design, strong PLC and control system exposure, and a track record of delivering high-quality electrical solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering.
7+ years experience in mining/equipment design or similar.
Experience with VVVF drives, motor sizing, and cable sizing.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering design and development with strong electrical engineering principles.
Mentor and coach engineers across projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Prepare engineering designs and specifications for equipment or services upgrades or retrofits.
Troubleshoot electrical power and control systems.
