Job summary

GR Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane-based Engineering Team. You will deliver E&I design packages for minerals processing projects across Australia, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and performance standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, CPEng, 8+ years in minerals processing, hands-on experience with SLDs, HV/LV systems, control and instrumentation, and proficiency in ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – Engineers Australia.
• 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally in minerals processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Electrical & Instrumentation design packages aligned with Australian Standards and project specifications across minerals processing environments.
• Design HV, LV, and ELV power distribution systems, MCCs, substations, and control systems.
• Collaborate with Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Processing teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions on time and within budget.
• Manage procurement and technical evaluation of electrical equipment packages and contracts, including HV switchgear, transformers, VSDs, UPS, generators, instrumentation, and installation scopes.
• Work with drafting and engineering teams to produce high-quality E&I drawings and documentation.
• Provide regular updates on project schedules, progress, and task-specific deliverables.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, technical assessments, and project reporting with clarity and precision.
• Support on-site commissioning, post-construction troubleshooting, and system optimization across complex E&I installations.
