Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Australia seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical building services for Defence and secure infrastructure programs.

You will mentor engineers and work with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction and commissioning. The ideal candidate has deep Defence or government project experience, strong technical leadership, and eligibility for Baseline Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive expertise in electrical building services design and Defence infrastructure.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and technical delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and project management.
• Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain.
• Experience delivering projects in Defence, government, or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design from concept to construction.
• Provide technical leadership for LV, lighting, standby power, ICT, and security.
• Act as lead electrical discipline engineer on major projects.
• Manage deliverables, resources, budgets, and programme.
• Build relationships with Defence clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, specifications, calculations, and assessments.
• Mentor engineers and graduates.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for integrated solutions.
