KBR is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services for Defence and secure infrastructure projects in Australia. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through to construction and commissioning, mentoring engineers and ensuring technical excellence and compliance with Defence requirements.

The role requires deep expertise in mechanical systems, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to operate in mission-critical

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering mechanical building services projects.
• Experience in Defence, government, or mission-critical environments.
• Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of mechanical building services across Defence and secure infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership for HVAC, ventilation, chilled and heating water systems.
• Act as the lead mechanical discipline engineer on major multidisciplinary projects.
• Manage mechanical deliverables, resources, budgets and programme requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Defence clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Mentor and support engineers, designers and graduates.
• Collaborate with electrical, civil, structural, and other disciplines.
