Job summary

KBR, Inc in Australia seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical building services design for Defence and secure infrastructure projects from concept to construction.

You will provide technical leadership for LV power, lighting, standby power, ICT, and security systems while managing project delivery, budgets, and stakeholder relationships. A Baseline clearance or ability to obtain it, plus Chartered status, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in electrical building services design.
• Experience delivering Defence/government or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
• Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain clearance.
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or ability to obtain Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across Defence and secure infrastructure projects, from concept through to construction.
• Provide technical leadership for electrical systems including LV power distribution, lighting, standby and emergency power, ICT, security, earthing, and renewables.
• Act as the lead electrical discipline engineer on major multidisciplinary projects with focus on Defence requirements and standards.
• Manage electrical project deliverables, resources, budgets, and programme requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Defence clients, project stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and graduates, promoting engineering best practice.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, structural, and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
