Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a Principal Community Development to lead the Community Development function in the Toowoomba Region. You will drive strategic direction, lead a multidisciplinary team, and oversee the design, delivery and evaluation of place-based initiatives to strengthen wellbeing, inclusion and social outcomes.

You will provide high-level leadership for wellbeing and recovery, ensure integration across Council services, and build partnerships with government,

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Council's Community Development function.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to design, deliver and evaluate place-based initiatives for social outcomes.
• Build and sustain partnerships with government, NGOs and community stakeholders to support planning and service delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership for Human and Social Recovery to meet prevention, preparedness, response and recovery obligations.
