Job summary

Nastasi Consulting Group in Sutherland, NSW, seeks an experienced Principal Civil / Stormwater Engineer to lead civil and stormwater project delivery in a growing team. You will mentor junior engineers, manage client and council relationships, and help expand our civil engineering capabilities.

You should have a degree recognized by Engineers Australia and 5–10 years local consultancy or local government experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of Australian Standards and

Qualifications

• Completed civil/structural degree recognized by Engineers Australia.
• 5–10 years local experience in a consultancy or local government environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to liaise with clients, councils and stakeholders.
• Understanding of local council stormwater requirements and approval processes.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and industry guidelines.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Experience in hydraulic services design is desirable but not essential.

Job description

Nastasi Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Principal Civil / Stormwater Engineer to join our growing team in Sutherland.

This role will involve leading the delivery of civil and stormwater projects, managing client and council relationships, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting the continued growth of our civil engineering capability.

Key Requirements

• A completed civil/structural degree that is recognized by Engineers Australia.
• 5 to 10 years of local experience in a consultancy or local government environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to liaise directly with clients, councils and other stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of local council stormwater requirements and approval processes.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Experience in hydraulic services design, including sanitary drainage, trade waste, potable water, hot and cold water services, warm water services, roof drainage and fire services, would be desirable but not essential.
