Job summary

Ivory Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead stormwater and drainage projects from design through delivery. You will oversee the full lifecycle, lead teams, and maintain strong client relationships.

The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership and project delivery responsibilities, with hybrid work options and a pathway to senior leadership within a growing national consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven local experience in stormwater and drainage design within a consultancy environment.
• Strong proficiency in industry software such as 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, and Civil 3D.
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards, WSUD principles, and OSD requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects and leading teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
• CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of stormwater drainage, WSUD, and OSD systems.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, councils, and regulatory authorities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff.
• Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, models, and detailed designs.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and fee submissions.
