Job summary

Metcash Trading Limited is seeking a Primary Freight Coordinator to manage end-to-end freight operations across our national network in Australia. You will coordinate supplier alignment, carrier management, and freight execution to deliver reliable service and support business growth.

You will partner with suppliers, transport providers and internal teams to optimize movement, improve processes, and drive service excellence while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and a focus on

Qualifications

• Experience in freight, logistics or supply chain operations, ideally in FMCG/retail/transport.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian transport and supply chain landscape.
• Proven ability to coordinate freight movements with suppliers and transport providers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end primary freight operations, including supplier alignment, carrier management and freight execution.
• Partner with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient freight movement and service delivery.
• Drive service excellence across the primary freight network while supporting commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across a diverse network of internal and external partners.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with the broader supply chain team to support strategic initiatives and future growth.
