Westside Christian College is seeking an experienced Chaplain to support Primary students (P-6) with their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. This maternity backfill role is 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) and involves coordinating welfare initiatives, meeting with parents, and delivering talks to promote resilience and faith-based wellbeing.

Qualifikationen

• A relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, Youth Work or Chaplaincy, or an equivalent or higher.
• Strong empathy and ability to support students’ wellbeing.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and staff.

Aufgaben

• Meet with students to discuss social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
• Coordinate student welfare events and initiatives.
• Meet with parents to discuss concerns about their child’s wellbeing.
• Assist teachers with strategies for wellbeing and coping with primary schooling.
• Deliver talks or devotions to promote wellbeing.
• Attend camps and extracurricular events as needed.
• Work with Head of Primary and other Chaplains.
