Job summary

Pacific Valley Christian School in NSW is seeking a compassionate wellbeing professional to support student wellbeing and engagement within a Christian school community. The role includes providing wellbeing support and counselling to students, coordinating with families and staff, and liaising with external agencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires genuine Christian faith and commitment to Christian education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience in school wellbeing, counselling, or pastoral care desirable.
• Applicants may possess qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, youth work, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide wellbeing support and counselling to students.
• Support students with social, emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges.
• Develop partnerships with families and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support student outcomes.
• Coordinate wellbeing plans and case management.
• Contribute to the Christian wellbeing framework and pastoral care.
• Respond to wellbeing incidents as required.
