Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Chaplaincy or Pastoral Care or equivalent or higher.
• Have a minimum 1 year of chaplaincy experience in a school environment.
• Effectively communicate with college administration, staff, parents and professionals.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with students and adults.
• Represent the College in presentation, manner and Christ-like service.
• Work within the College’s mission, framework and policies at all times.
• Comply with College policies, including Health and Safety and Staff Code of Conduct.
• Australian citizen; no international sponsorship.
• Active in own church and adhere to the College’s Statement of Faith and Staff Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care to students individually and in small groups.
• Maintain records: pastoral care notes, permission forms, program rolls.
• Communicate with parents, carers and staff about students’ needs.
• Share the gospel in conversation, devotions, chapel talks and deeds.
• Participate in school life: playground duties, sports days, camps and events.
• Build connection by joining Brekkie Club and lunchtime activities.
• Be involved in weekly chapel services.
