Job summary

Youi Pty Ltd is seeking an actuary/pricing professional to analyze portfolio performance and influence pricing and underwriting strategy in Australia. The role blends technical modelling with commercial decisions and offers development through coaching and exposure to pricing and underwriting leaders.

You will work with underwriters and product teams to translate data insights into practical actions, while balancing customer outcomes, risk and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in actuarial, pricing, general insurance, underwriting or analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to draw insights from data.
• Experience with statistical modelling and data analysis tools such as R, SAS, SQL or similar.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Home portfolio performance and investigate movements in risk, pricing and underwriting results
• Identify trends and recommending changes to pricing, rating and underwriting approaches
• Build and refining statistical models that support pricing decisions and portfolio strategy
• Preparing, validating and analysing data using actuarial and modelling tools such as SAS and R
• Supporting enhancements to pricing and underwriting systems and rating engine functionality
• Working with underwriters, product teams and business leaders to turn data insights into practical actions
