Youi Insurance is seeking an experienced actuarial professional on a hybrid basis, located in Australia. You will influence pricing, underwriting and portfolio performance by turning data into actionable recommendations and implementing changes across the full lifecycle of decisions.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, challenging assumptions and collaboration across Product, Marketing, Operations and Actuarial teams to deliver real business impact.

Qualifications

• Several years of actuarial experience in general insurance or similar analytical environment.
• Strong Excel, SAS and SQL capability working with large datasets.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and translate analysis into recommendations.
• Experience supporting pricing and underwriting changes.
• Proven ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Progress beyond an actuarial degree with ongoing studies or development.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing portfolio and underwriting performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Using Excel, SQL and actuarial techniques to investigate complex problems and develop recommendations.
• Supporting pricing initiatives through analysis, modeling and commercial recommendations.
• Testing and implementing pricing and underwriting changes with operational teams.
• Collaborating with Product, Marketing, Operations and Actuarial stakeholders.
• Translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Improving tools, reporting and processes to inform decision-making.
