Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Consumer Pricing Analyst to join the Consumer division, with the role based in Sydney or Melbourne. The role focuses on understanding customer profiles and driving improvements in commercial metrics through pricing initiatives.

Ideal for someone early in their career with about 2 years' experience, you'll work with advanced Excel and statistical modelling to influence subscription pricing and promotions in a dynamic media landscape.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of experience in pricing or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with forecasting and statistical modelling.
• Ability to translate data into actionable pricing strategies for subscriptions.
• Attention to detail and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Subscriptions and/or Media is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing offers modeling, planning, and testing in a multi-channel environment.
• Develop use cases and test hypotheses based on customer behavior to optimise pricing.
• Apply statistical modelling to show impact on margins, costs, and sales.
• Develop pricing models using data sources including competitors, market, and customer data.
• Manage the subscription price book with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Set up test plans, determine test parameters, and report progress to stakeholders.
