Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Consumer Pricing Analyst to join the Consumer division, with the role based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will support pricing initiatives, analyze customer profiles, and drive improvements in margins and subscriptions through data-driven insights.

The position is ideal for someone early in their career, with around 2 years of experience, strong analytical capability, and Advanced Excel expertise. Experience in subscriptions or media is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Early in career with ~2 years experience in pricing or analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with statistical modeling and forecasting skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable pricing strategies for subscriptions.
• Experience in subscriptions and/or media is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support modeling, planning, and monitoring of introductory offers across channels.
• Develop use cases and test hypotheses on customer behavior to drive pricing optimization.
• Use statistical methods to show impact of pricing strategies on margins, costs and sales.
• Develop pricing models using data from multiple sources including competitor and market data.
• Manage the subscription price book and ensure accuracy across channels.
• Set up test plans, track results, and report progress to stakeholders.
