Job summary

ARB Corporation is seeking multiple press brake operators to join our production team in Australia. The successful candidates will operate and maintain Yawei, Darley and/or Bystronic brake presses to produce precision-formed parts in mild steel, stainless, and aluminium, while adhering to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include reading technical drawings, selecting dies, and performing basic machine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating press machines, preferably Yawei,
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape components according to drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality output.
• Handle long or large parts during folding.
• Select and change dies and tools based on material thickness and type.
• Learn grain structure effects of aluminium on pressing outcomes.
• Perform basic maintenance on press brakes.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and safety standards.
• Learn and support laser cutting operations.
• Problem-solve issues when they arise.
• Maintain 5S standards in the department.

ARB Corporation Ltd is Australia's largest manufacturer and distributor of 4x4 accessories. As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seekingmultiple experienced press brake operators to join our production team.

Position Summary:

We are seeking skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Trumpf, Darley and/or Bystronic brake presses to produce precision-formed mild steel, stainless and aluminium parts. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings accurately.
• Work within precise tolerances (±1mm and ±0.3°) to ensure high-quality output.
• Physically handle, lift, and support long or large parts during the folding process.
• Select and change dies and tools based on material thickness and type.
• Learn and understand the grain structure of aluminium and its effects on pressing outcomes.
• Perform basic maintenance routines and care on press brakes.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Learn and support laser cutting operations and associated technology.
• Problem solves issues when they arise.
• Maintain 5S standards in your department

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience operating press machines, particularly Yawei machines, in a fabrication or automotive setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions (SOPs) and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Forklift license and WHS/OHS training (advantageous).
