Job summary

QuickCare in Coogee is seeking an experienced Preschool Room Leader to guide a team of educators for 3–5 year olds as they prepare for school. You will plan and implement a play-based programme, mentor staff, and foster strong relationships with children and families.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, have proven Room Leader experience, and maintain current NSW WWCC, First Aid and CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in ECE (ACECQA-approved) required.
• Proven Room Leader experience in a preschool.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and Education and Care Regulations.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
• Child Protection training.
• Positive, organized leader with strong communication with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate a play-based programme in line with the EYLF (V2.0).
• Lead, mentor and support educators in your room, modelling best practice daily.
• Prepare children for a confident transition to school.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and observations.
• Contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan and uphold the National Quality Standard.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children.
