Job summary

James Hardie is seeking an experienced Machine & Forklift Operator to support manufacturing operations in Rosehill. You will operate lifting and material-handling equipment, set up moulds and fixtures, and ensure samples meet specifications while adjusting settings as needed.

The role requires a current forklift license, reliable safety practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. A pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift License and valid Driver's License.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Willingness to undertake manual labour as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines
• Setting up and installing moulds and other machine fixtures
• Collecting and examining samples for conformity to specifications and adjusting machine settings accordingly
• Setting grinding and cutting edges
• Forklift pre-start checklist daily
• Unloading off machinery and moving product to necessary location
• Putting stock away and moving stock around using the forklift
• Performing manual handling tasks of up to 20kg
• Maintaining housekeeping standards across the work area
• Current Forklift License and valid Driver's License
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Willingness to undertake manual labour as required
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment will be highly regarded
