Job summary

Solidcast Pty Ltd in NSW is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead tender preparation across commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. You will review drawings and specifications, assess buildability and installation needs, and ensure all costs are fully allowed.

Qualifications

Experience in precast concrete, structural concrete, civil construction or a related field.
Strong drawing-reading and scope-review skills.
A practical understanding of construction methodology.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong commercial judgment and numerical skills.
Good written communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
A key role in a growing Australian manufacturing business.

Responsibilities

Review drawings and specifications to understand the complete scope.
Assess buildability, production methodology and installation requirements.
Identify difficult details, design gaps, coordination issues and pricing risks.
Review outsourced take-offs for obvious omissions or inconsistencies.
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Liaise with clients throughout the tender process, provide timely updates and maintain strong ongoing relationships.
Prepare tender clarifications, exclusions and assumptions.
Produce a complete tender recommendation for final approval.
Assist with negotiations and hand over awarded projects to the delivery team.
