Job summary

Doctors&Co in Bankstown NSW seeks a Practice Success Manager (Dental) to lead the Practice Managers across the dental network, own clinic performance and grow patient flow. This is a hands-on commercial leadership role, not clinical.

You will travel across NSW, VIC and QLD, translate the Group dental strategy into annual plans, standardise systems and pricing, and drive new clinics to break-even with strong support from in-house teams.

About the role

Doctors&Co is hiring a Practice Success Manager (Dental) to run the management side of its dental network and take it to the next stage of growth. You will lead the Practice Managers across our dental clinics, own clinic performance, grow patient flow, open new sites and keep dental strategy aligned with the Group.
Doctors&Co is an Australian vertically integrated healthcare group operating general practice, dental, wellness and allied health clinics across NSW, VIC and QLD, backed by in-house property, management services and fitout teams. The Group employs 600+ people and 400+ clinicians today and is building toward 300+ clinic sites over the next decade. Dental is a core clinical vertical, with clinics offering general dentistry and extended pathways in implants, clear aligners and orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, periodontics, paediatric dentistry and sleep and TMJ.
This is a hands-on commercial leadership role, not a clinical one. You will be judged on clinic results: patient numbers, chair utilisation, revenue and margin, team stability and new clinics opened on time.

What you will own

Lead the Practice Managers

• Recruit, onboard, coach and performance-manage the Practice Manager in every dental clinic
• Set clear targets for each clinic and run a weekly operating rhythm with the Practice Managers
• Build a strong Practice Manager bench so every clinic has cover and every new clinic has a leader ready
• Hold clinics to Group standards for patient experience, compliance, infection control and accreditation

Own clinic performance

• Deliver monthly clinic performance reporting to the Head of Business Solutions and Operations and Group executive: patients, appointments, chair utilisation, revenue, cost and margin per clinic
• Review each clinic's profit and loss monthly, identify what is off track and lead the recovery plan
• Manage clinician rosters, chair capacity and support staffing so each site runs at target utilisation
• Control clinic costs: consumables, laboratory, equipment, locums and overtime

Drive patient flow and growth

• Grow new and returning patient numbers in every clinic
• Build referral pathways from Doctors&Co general practice and allied health clinics into dental
• Run local marketing, recall and reactivation programmes with each clinic team and the Group marketing team
• Expand the services offered at each clinic, including implants, aligners, orthodontics and other high-value treatments

Align dental to the Group strategy

• Translate the Group dental strategy into an annual plan and budget per clinic
• Standardise systems, pricing, service menus and operating procedures across all dental clinics
• Champion the Group's platforms and reporting so dental runs on the same model as the rest of the network
• Represent dental in Group management forums and bring clinic issues and opportunities to the executive

Establish new clinics

• Lead the opening of new dental clinics and the integration of acquired practices
• Work with the Property and Fitout teams on site selection, design, equipment and handover
• Recruit the opening team, set up systems and suppliers, and take each new clinic to break-even on plan
• Own the launch marketing and first-year growth plan for every new site

Who we are looking for

Essential

• Five or more years managing multi-site dental or healthcare clinics, including direct responsibility for profit and loss
• A record of growing patient numbers and clinic revenue, not just maintaining them
• Experience hiring, leading and developing practice managers or site leaders across several locations
• Strong financial literacy: budgets, forecasts, clinic P&L reviews and cost control
• Experience opening a new clinic or integrating an acquired practice, end to end
• Working knowledge of Australian dental practice operations, dental practice management software, health fund and Medicare dental schemes, and infection control and accreditation standards
• Confident presenting performance and plans to executives and clinic owners
• Willing to travel regularly to clinics across NSW, VIC and QLD

Preferred

• Experience in a corporate dental group or private-equity-backed healthcare network
• A clinical or dental background (dentist, oral health therapist, hygienist or senior dental nurse) combined with business management
• Tertiary qualification in business, health management or a related field
• Experience building referral pathways between general practice and dental
