Job summary

NDSR Medical Services Pty Ltd – Gympie QLD is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our new medical centre. The role involves working with GPs and the admin team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care and support practice operations.

The position is full-time (38 hours per week) and requires current RN registration with AHPRA, along with strong clinical and communication abilities. Preference given to those with general practice experience and immunisation/wound care skills.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with patient consultations and clinical procedures.
• Perform wound care, dressings, immunisations and other nursing treatments within scope of practice.
• Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management support and preventative health activities.
• Assist with cervical screening, care plans and health checks.
• Manage patient recalls, reminders and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Monitor clinical stock, vaccines and medical supplies, including cold chain management.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain clinical safety standards.
• Support practice accreditation, quality improvement and compliance activities.
• Provide patient education and promote preventative healthcare.
