Job summary

Yagoona Family HealthCare in Sydney, NSW is seeking a caring Practice Nurse to join our busy general practice. You will work with General Practitioners and admin staff to deliver high-quality nursing care, support preventative health services and keep the clinic running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical and communication skills, patient-centred approach, and experience with immunisations, wound care and health assessments. 2-3 days per week, 8:30–4:30, hours are flexible.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical skills and strong communication abilities.
• Patient-centred approach to healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform immunisations and vaccinations.
• Conduct wound care and dressings.
• Perform health assessments and support chronic disease management.
• Provide preventative health services and patient education.
• Assist GPs with procedures.
• Perform ECGs, spirometry and blood collection as trained.
• Administer medications and injections per policy.
• Maintain emergency equipment and clinical supplies.
• Support infection prevention and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with screening programs within scope.
