Job summary

HealthHub Taree is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our busy general practice. You will work independently within your scope, immunise patients, manage vaccinations, and provide wound care and health assessments.

You will support GPs, contribute to chronic disease management, and perform ECGs and blood pressure checks. The role is permanent full-time, with a Monday to Friday 9am-5pm schedule and one Saturday per month, offering a competitive hourly rate up to 40 AUD plus super.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.
• Immunisation certification or qualification to administer vaccines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our GPs and delivering comprehensive care to our patients. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently within their scope of practice, with excellent clinical skills, communicates well with patients and doctors, patient-centred approach to healthcare and has previous experience in an Australian general practice environment.

Key responsibilities

Childhood and adult immunisations

Vaccine management and cold-chain monitoring

Wound care and dressing changes

Removal of sutures and staples

Chronic disease management and patient education

Assisting with GP Chronic Condition Management Plans and reviews

Health assessments

Blood pressure, weight, BMI and other clinical observations

ECGs

About you

Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification

Current National Police Check

Current Working with Children Check

Current immunisation certification or appropriate qualification to administer vaccines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good organisational and time-management skills
