Job summary

Bushland Beach Medical Centre in Townsville area is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our growing practice. You will deliver high-quality patient care across our GP clinic and support a team-focused environment.

We offer flexible working arrangements including casual, permanent or full-time roles within our operating hours 8.00–5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Ideal candidates hold AHPRA registration and have experience in general practice, immunisations, and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Preferably 2+ years nursing in General Practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adaptable and open to change and innovation.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Knowledge of childhood and adult immunisations.
• Experience in chronic disease management and care plans.
• Computer skills (Best Practice or EMR familiarity).

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage patients, respond to emergencies.
• Administer immunisations and injections.
• Perform ECGs, spirometry, and ear syringing.
• Conduct wound care and assist GPs during minor surgeries.
• Develop care plans and conduct health assessments.
• Infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Support Enrolled Nurses and Student Nurses.
• Assist reception staff as needed.

We have flexible opportunities available for this position, which can be offered on either a casual, permanent or full time basis. We are looking for nurses who can work adaptively across our operating hours of 8.00 – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Qualifications and experience

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Preferably a minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in General Practice
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of childhood and adult immunisations
