Job summary

Pro Health Care in South Australia is seeking a Registered Practice Nurse to join the Dover Garden team on a casual basis, with hours Tue and Thu 9:00am–5:00pm and potential for additional shifts. You will provide high-quality nursing care, administer vaccines and treatments, assist with health assessments, and collaborate with doctors.

You will also maintain records, educate patients, and support clinic administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
• General practice nursing experience preferred.
• Immunisation training completed or desired.
• Experience with Best Practice software and Office suite preferred.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Registered Practice Nurse to join our Dover Garden team.

The position is casual and working hours are expected to be Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm with scope for additional hours.

Hours may vary depending on the availability of practitioners and other employees, and additional ad hoc shifts may be available for planned and unplanned leave.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing high quality nursing care and support to patients and practitioners.

Administering immunisations, medications and treatments as prescribed.

Assisting with patient health assessments and care planning.

Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

Educating patients and families about health management and care plans.

Supporting the administrative functions of the clinic, such as recall management and stock ordering, and complete general housekeeping duties.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

Bachelor of Nursing.

Previous experience in a nursing role (within general practice is desired).

Previous experience with Best Practice software (desired), along with Microsoft Office.

Completion of an accredited immunisation course, such as the Understanding Vaccines and the National Immunisation Program (desired).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Full and unrestricted AHPRA registration.

The right to work in Australia (Visa sponsorship not available).
